Below is a complete overview of all the tunnels on the Bergen line including Hønefoss to Oslo S. The Bergen line initially is only the section between Bergen and Hønefoss, and in this overview you will also see which parts of the line are going on which other line.

Bergensbanen / Bergen line (Bergen – Hønefoss)

Ulriken – 7690 meters

  • The (old) Ulrikstunnel goes through Ulriken mountain and connects Bergen to Arna. The tunnel is 7690 meters long and was opened in 1964.
  • New Ulriken tunnel opened 13th Dec. 2020. This was the first operational TBM tunnel in Norway. It is 7800 meters long, 9.3 meters in diameter, and has a speed limit at 160 km/h. The original Ulriken tunnel is being refurbished to give twin tracks Bergen-Arna.
