Commands available for everyone:

Below is a list of all of the available commands for the chat in the current live stream in YouTube. If you see any mistakes or have suggestions for new commands, please contact us via the contact page.

All of the commands have cooldown timers, meaning if someone just typed the command it can only be used again after some time has passed (usually about a minute, but the time can vary).

!horn = The horn is manually activated at the yellow diamond shaped signs. A vertical line means halt/station. A horizontal line means level crossing. Cross = both of the above.

!live = This is a pre-recorded video being streamed. It’s not possible to live stream from a train due to liability issues, safety and lack of reception.

!speed = Max speed on the Bergen line is 160 km/h, and on the Flåm line 40 km/h. The freight trains has a maximum speed of 100 km/h. Read more at https://www.railcowgirl.com/faq/

!wencrypt = Operation Iron Cipher is a game that takes place in the chat. You bet the points you have earned. Type !encrypt [amount] to join the MI5 team.

!where = This is from the Bergen Line in Norway. RailCowGirl works as an driver/engineer on this Line. Awesome, right?

!wpoints = Points are earned when you chat, buy superchats or superstickers. You can use your points for redeeming sounds or playing the !encrypt game. Use !wencrypt or !redeemopt to learn more.

!wredeem = You can redeem 10 of your points to sound a horn or like a herd of cows. This is just for fun. You earn cowbells/points when chatting, or when you buy superchats. Use !redeemopt to see redeem options.

Commands for members

These commands are available for members in RailCowGirl’s YouTube channel. (For more info check the link on the !member command above.)

!age = You must be 13 years or older to join this chat. That’s YouTube rules. If you are less than 13, please use YouTube Kids.

!bergenline = Oslo – Bergen via Drammen: 482,2 km. Via Roa: 471,25km. Max speed 160km/h. Time: 6h38min. Tunnels: Aprox 200. Stops: 21.

!camel = Camels can run as fast as 65 km/h and walk up to 40 km/h. That’s about the same as the speed of the train many places between Bergen and Voss, and on the Flåm line.

!companies = On the Bergen line there are 3 main companies: Vy, who operates the passenger trains, and 2 companies that operates freight trains: CargoNet (formerly NSB) and OnRail.

!finsetunnel = The Finse Tunnel, opened in 1993, is 10300m long and the longest tunnel on the Bergen Line. Finse tunnel “secret” room: https://youtu.be/RkedIcqXXdw

!flamline = The Flåm railway runs between Flåm (2 m.a.s.l.) and Myrdal (866,8 m.a.s.l.). It was opened in 1940 and has a maximum gradient of 5.5%. Max speed: 40 km/h. Length: 20,4 km. Time one way: approx 55 mins

!gamlevossebanen = The original line went round Ådnanipa mountain via Garnes. In 1964 Arnanipa tunnel (2190m) opened. Part of the old route is now a museum line, and joins the main at Tunestveit junction.

!ghoststation = Elisenberg station is a partly completed but never opened station in Oslo tunnel, under Balchens Gate, 2.4km west of Oslo S station. The tracks are approximately 30m below ground.

!gravhalstunnel = Gravhals tunnel on the Bergen Line opened in 1908 and is 5345m long. The tunnel was the longest in Norway from 1908 to 1944.

!hardangerbana = The Hardanger line connected with the Bergen line at Voss station, and ran 27.5km to Granvin. It closed in 1988, except for the last 3km Voss-Palmafossen, which remain for freight use.

!lierastunnel = The Lierås tunnel on the Drammen Line, opened in 1973, is 10723m long and is currently Norways 3rd longest railway tunnel.

!newulrikentunnel = New Ulriken tunnel, opened Dec. 2020. First operational TBM tunnel in Norway, 7800m long, 9.3m diameter, limit 160km/h. The original tunnel is being refurbished to give twin track Bergen-Arna.

!trollkonatunnel = Trollkona Tunnel opened in 1987 to replace ten shorter tunnels to be used by the new E16 (road). Trollkona is 8043m long, the 6th longest tunnel in Norway. Trollkona in English means Trolls Wife.

!ulrikentunnel = Ulrikstunnel goes through Ulriken mountain and connects Bergen to Arna. The tunnel is 7670m long and was opened in 1964.

!voltage = The overhead wire has between 15 and 17 kiloVolt.

!vossgondol = The Voss Gondola opened in July 2019, and connects Voss station with the top of Hangurstoppen mountain (820 MASL). It has 9 cars, and the journey takes 8,8 minutes.
